Learning Programmes

Skills Programmes

The Skills Programme must be NQF-aligned programme, carrying a minimum of forty-five (45) credits.
The qualification must either be SETA-accredited / that falls within the Scarce and Critical Skills of the FP&MSETA.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeship Programme must fall within the scope of the sectoral trades or engineering and priority trades as per the Scarce and Critical Skills of the FP&M SETA.
The Apprenticeship Programme must be registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training – QCTO / NAMB.
Workplaces must have workplace approval/license status with the relevant SETA QA.
ARPL Learners MUST complete a Gap Analysis Assessment at an Accredited Trade Test Centre and obtain more than 70% prior to registering.

Learnerships

The Learnership Programme must fall within the scope of the FP&M SETA as per the Scarce and Critical Skills.
The learning programme must be as per the registered learnership qualification and title registered with SAQA, QCTO and the Department of Higher Education and Training.
The Training Provider must be accredited with the FP&MSET QA or a relevant QA and in instances of full qualifications the provider must be registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training Learning provisioning will be quality assured by the FP&MSETA QA or the relevant QA Minimum credit to be achieved is 120 credits or qualification specific.

Bursaries

The Bursaries are awarded primarily for learning programmes that fall within the scarce and critical skills of the FP&M SETA.
The programme registered should be Level 5 and above.
Students must register with higher education institutions that are accredited by the Council of Higher Education.

Internships

Any learners who have COMPLETED any recognized qualification, degree, diploma, NCV programme including matric etc., can be recruited for Work Experience.
Learners must complete a structured work experiential learning programme that is related to the qualification that they have achieved.

Work integrated learning Programmes

This programme is for students who need Work Integrated Learning (WIL) to complete a TVET / HET qualification.
Learners must complete a WIL experiential programme that falls within the scope of the learner’s qualification and recognized by the academic institution.
This must lead to learners achieving a full qualification.

Adult education and learning Programmes

Organizations must use a training provider that is accredited by Umalusi and registered with the Department of Education for AET programmes.
AET programmes must be registered with the Department of Higher Education or Training and/or SAQA.
