APPLY NOW FOR YOUR 2026/2027 MANDATORY GRANTS
Workplace Skills Plan / Annual Training Report / Annexure 2 Submission Deadline Date: 30 April 2026 as per the Skills Development Act of 1998 and the Grant Regulation.
Firms in the clothing, footwear, forestry, furniture, general goods, leather, packaging, print media, printing, publishing, pulp and paper, textiles, and wood products sub-sectors, registered with the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing (FP&M) SETA are reminded that their application for Mandatory Grants is due by 30 April 2026.
This application must include a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) for the period April 2026 – March 2027 and an Annual Training Report (ATR) for the period April 2025 – March 2026. Firms with 50 or more employees must also submit a Workplace Skills Plan.
Provision has been made for firms employing less than 50 employees to submit their mandatory grants application in a simplified format.
Mandatory Grant Applications must be submitted via our Learner Management Information System (LMIS) which can be accessed via the stakeholder login page.
Please note that only firms that submit a WSP/ATR and Annexure 2 by the regulated deadline date will be eligible to apply for Discretionary Grant funding from the FP&M SETA during the 2026/27 financial year.
OFO Codes Versions
The OFO is a skills-based coded classification system that captures Organising Framework for Occupations.
- Skills based, coded classification system that classifies all occupations and jobs in the SA labour market
- Captures all jobs however in the form of occupations
- Groups occupations in terms of -skill specialisation, and skill level
Skill level
(Determined by Range and complexity of the tasks Level or amount of formal education and training)
- Amount of previous experience in a related occupation
- Amount of on-the-job training
- Required to competently perform the set of tasks for that occupation
