Quality Assurance
OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, TRADES AND SKILLS PROGRAMMES
Overview
As part of the transitional arrangements, the FP&MSETA is actively collaborating with its sub-sectors to realign historical qualifications into occupational qualifications in line with the QCTO framework. In addition, the SETA is developing new occupational qualifications, trades, and skills programmes to meet industry needs and enhance workforce competencies. The FP&M SETA is also reviewing the Occupational qualifications to ensure that they are in line with the ministerial determination.
The skills development landscape in South Africa is evolving, and so is the FP&M SETA

How long does the accreditation process take?
The accreditation process for qualifying SDPs takes about three months. This excludes instances whereby an SDP does not meet specific criteria.
What are the requirements for accreditation?
Details on accreditation requirements and processes are found on the QCTO website for Skills Development Providers and Assessment Centres(www.qcto.org.za).
